The Leadner Alm is situated in the heart of the sunny Tschögglberg, surrounded by idyllic mountain meadows and larch-covered paths. The Leadner Alm can be reached from various starting points, and the surrounding area offers some wonderful leisurely walks. Here is a small selection of our favourite ones:
Walking time: approx. 50 mins
The most relaxing way to reach the Leadner Alm! The walk starts at the ‘Le Noir’ car park by the Grüner Baum in Vöran. The footpath runs parallel to the traffic-calmed asphalt road, past meadows and woods, straight up to the Alm (also ideal for pushchairs or wheelchairs).
Walking time: approx. 4.5 hours
The 3 huts tour is an easy and varied circular walk starting in the centre of Hafling. From there, trail 2a leads via the Wurzer Alm up to the Vöraner Alm. You’ll be rewarded with wonderful panoramic views. From the Texel Group to the Ortler region and on to the Dolomites, everything is included. From the Vöraner Alm, take trail no. 11A down to the Leadner Alm and then trail no. 16 back to Hafling.
Walking time: approx. 6 hours
The hike to the mystical Stoanernen Mandln at 2,003 m begins in the centre of Vöran (best reached via the Burgstall-Vöran cable car, which can be paid for using the Südtirolpass/Guestpass). Follow trail no. 16 to the Grüner Baum, continue to the Leadner Alm and then take trail no. 11 towards the Auener Jöchl. Along extensive alpine meadows, follow the path to the right up to the Stoanernen Mandln, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Return to Vöran via the same route.
For cycling enthusiasts: the suggested routes are all suitable for mountain bikes and e-MTBs. Our personal tip: the E-Bike Vöran hire shop near the cable car in Vöran. You can easily book and hire e-bikes online there. Their website also features plenty of other great tour suggestions.
